GIGABYTE Unveils CQDIMM Technology at CES 2026, Achieving Record-Breaking DDR5-7200 Performance with 256GB Full Load
At CES 2026, GIGABYTE Technology officially launched its groundbreaking CQDIMM (Clocked Unbuffered Dual In-Line Memory Module) technology, marking a major leap forward in high-performance memory applications. By pairing the new Z890 AORUS TACHYON ICE CQDIMM Edition motherboard with advanced BIOS tuning, GIGABYTE has achieved an industry-first milestone: stable operation at DDR5-7200 speeds with a full 256GB capacity using just two 128GB modules—overcoming the long-standing trade-off between high capacity and high frequency.

Under traditional DDR5 architecture, increasing memory capacity typically forces compromises in frequency and stability. Leveraging its deep expertise in hardware and firmware design, GIGABYTE has overcome this critical bottleneck. Through optimized motherboard circuitry, the company significantly reduced memory channel loading, greatly enhancing signal integrity and ensuring rock-solid stability even under heavy workloads and extended operation. Complementing this, GIGABYTE’s proprietary BIOS tuning precisely refines clock drive architecture, memory timings, signal synchronization, and voltage control to unlock maximum performance.
By seamlessly integrating hardware and firmware innovations, GIGABYTE ensures that memory operates both stably and efficiently at full capacity—a world-first achievement that sets a new benchmark for high-performance computing. This breakthrough directly addresses the dual demands of AI workloads, content creation, and professional applications that require both massive bandwidth and large memory capacity.
To guarantee broad compatibility with leading memory brands, GIGABYTE has collaborated closely with ADATA, Kingston, and TeamGroup to co-develop next-generation PC system solutions. For more information, visitors are invited to explore GIGABYTE’s CES 2026 booth at LVCC North Hall #8519. Media and VIP guests may also experience the CQDIMM-enabled motherboard technology firsthand at GIGABYTE’s private showcase suites on the 3rd floor of The Venetian Hotel (Rooms 3004, 3005, and 3104).
