Ambarella Launches Developer Community to Expand On-Device AI Ecosystem
At CES, Ambarella (Nasdaq: AMBA), a leading AI vision perception chip company, announced the official launch of its Ambarella DevZone—a new developer community designed to empower its rapidly growing partner ecosystem to learn, build, and deploy on-device AI applications more efficiently and seamlessly across a wide range of edge systems. The platform offers a suite of optimized models and low-code/no-code agent blueprints, enabling developers to rapidly create on-device AI solutions using the Cooper™ development software on Ambarella’s extensive portfolio of SoCs purpose-built for edge AI.

As AI workloads increasingly shift toward hybrid edge/cloud architectures, partners urgently need access to Ambarella’s full-stack edge AI platform to develop and deploy products with greater efficiency and scalability. DevZone addresses this need by unifying critical tools, technical documentation, optimized models, and community resources into a single, accessible hub—accelerating collaboration, prototyping, and deployment of edge AI solutions across diverse verticals for system integrators, distributors, module makers, independent software vendors (ISVs), and other global ecosystem partners.
“The edge AI market we serve is accelerating rapidly, and our partner ecosystem needs a solution that helps them stay ahead,” said Muneyb Minhazuddin, Chief Customer Growth Officer at Ambarella. “Ambarella DevZone lowers the barrier to entry while providing deeper access to our technology. It’s the cornerstone of our open ecosystem strategy and enables broader, more diverse market collaboration.”
DevZone integrates Ambarella’s complete development resources into a unified environment, including:
- Cooper™ Model Garden: A continuously expanding library of validated and optimized models ready for immediate testing and deployment.
- Learning & Onboarding Hub: Comprehensive whitepapers, blogs, tutorials, and sample applications to help users get up to speed quickly.
- Agent Blueprints: Low-code/no-code templates based on Ambarella’s next-generation agent workflow architecture, enabling rapid design of multi-agent systems.
Together, these core resources deliver a more intuitive and efficient development experience—empowering teams to build, validate, and tailor models faster to meet evolving market demands.
Through DevZone, Ambarella is opening broader access to its software stack via agent interfaces, example workflows, and development assets—further strengthening support for its ecosystem partners. This centralized portal allows partners to evaluate Ambarella technology more easily, streamline integration, and bring solutions to market faster.
With the launch of this new AI developer community, Ambarella is leveraging its leadership in on-device intelligence—having shipped over 39 million edge AI SoCs to date—to accelerate and scale the adoption of its growing edge AI infrastructure. DevZone enables a wider range of ecosystem partners and customers to fully harness Ambarella’s cutting-edge technology, engineered specifically for high-performance, low-power edge AI applications.
Already, two independent software vendors (ISVs) have successfully built and deployed on-device AI models on Ambarella’s N1-655 SoC using the DevZone platform.
Quinn Curtis, CEO of Cogniac, stated: “Running the Cogniac platform on Ambarella DevZone provides our team with a critical pathway to push the boundaries of edge AI. Ambarella’s high-efficiency architecture aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver scalable, real-time intelligence—and the developer community makes it faster and easier for innovators to build, test, and deploy production-ready solutions.”
Thor Turrecha, Global SaaS EVP at meldCX, added: “Integrating our Viana visual analytics solution into Ambarella DevZone unlocks a new dimension in edge visual AI performance. Ambarella’s purpose-built AI SoCs provide a solid foundation for delivering real-time insights with ultra-low latency and reduced power consumption. Together, we empower customers to deploy advanced AI models at scale and gain deeper understanding of physical space dynamics—enabling real-time operational optimization.”
